WHSV High School Basketball All-Stars – Boys
10. Tyreek Veney – Junior Guard – Fort Defiance
Veney was an under-the-radar star for Fort Defiance during the 2021-22 season. The point guard averaged 18.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while earning All-Shenandoah District first-team honors.
9. Parker Sheetz – Main Forward – Central
Sheetz was a dominant force inside a Central team that won the Region 2B Championship and set up a Class 2 State Quarterfinal game. Sheetz finished the season with an 11-average, 5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game while shooting an effective 54.2% from the field.
8. Jadon Burgess – Junior Guard – Harrisonburg
After losing his entire sophomore season last year when HHS pulled out of winter sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Burgess finally got a chance to show off his skills in the 2021 season- 2022. The southpaw filled the stat sheet with 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game. He’s already got offers from NCAA Division I Maine and High Point.
7. Garret Spruhan – Senior Striker – Turner Ashby
Spruhan ended his high school basketball career with a stellar season. The hard-shooting forward finished second in Valley District’s Player of the Year voting after averaging 14.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game while making 41.4% of his three-point attempts and shooting 50.0% from the field.
6. Walker Conrad – Second Year Striker – Strasbourg
Conrad has a shot at becoming the Shenandoah Valley’s next star basketball player. The six-foot-six sophomore showed tremendous potential during the 2021-22 campaign when he scored 19.1 points per game and shot 8.0 rebounds per game while recording 1.5 blocks per game. match.
