In 2015, the company totaled $1.2 billion in sales through the end of August, overtaking Adidas in stride. The sales surge was helped by the company poaching Stephen Curry from rivals Nike and then seeing the Warriors guard’s meteoric rise to a championship, boosting sales of its Under Armor Curry sneaker. 2.
However, they could not maintain this momentum and sales have declined in recent years.
That hasn’t deterred the company from continuing to sign NBA players, giving them something they won’t necessarily get at Nike or Adidas: a more personal partnership experience.
Curry, for his part, transcended just being a member of Under Armor and was given his own subdivision. What other players are on the Under Armor roster?
