Rs 22 billion in subsidized loans disbursed under the Kamyab Jawan program

The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant (SAPM) for Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar said on Sunday that the government had so far disbursed soft loans worth over Rs 22 billion under the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YES) of the Kamyab Jawan Program (KJP).

In a press release, he said there had been a significant increase in the process of disbursing loans under the KJP, as a large number of young people started their own businesses after receiving concessional merit loans.

SAPM said the government is making serious efforts for the welfare and prosperity of the youth. Loans of up to Rs 3 billion were approved each month for young people, he added.

He said the government had taken a new step by disbursing subsidized loans amounting to over Rs 22 billion over the past two years.

Usman Dar has pledged to disburse loans amounting to Rs 100 billion within the deadline. SAPM also tweeted the success story of Raj Kumar who grew his fruit and vegetable business after obtaining soft loans under the KJP within two months.

In a video message, Islam Kot’s Raj Kumar Sindh expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Imran Khan and the KJP team for creating opportunities for youth.
