Evelyn Magley, CEO of the Basketball League, recently announced the âReading Rebelsâ as the league’s last expansion market in 2022.
“We are delighted to announce that we will be presenting professional basketball at the Santander Arena in Reading, PA” Co-owner Jonathan Gross said in a statement.
âThe ink just dried on the contracts for me and 3 other owners: Daniel Santos, Alex Bernhard, Mugga Marable. We have been working for a long time and we were finally able to get there! More announcements to come in the coming weeks! “
With Reading located midway between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Magley believes the Reading Rebels will pair well with the New York teams and their plans for east coast expansion.
“As a league, this young, diverse group of team market owners bring a level of enthusiasm and energy that should translate well into our community-driven league.” said TBL, CEO of Evelyn Magley.
The Basketball League begins its 4th season of play on April 9 with an expanded roster of teams this season nationwide.
