Damian Lillard emptied 3 points after 3 points on Tuesday night, finishing with 55 points and almost loaning the Portland Trail Blazers to a huge comeback win over the Denver Nuggets.

Instead, the Nuggets held off the Blazers in double overtime, winning 147-140 to win a 3-2 series.

Lillard became the first player in NBA playoff history to score 55 points with double-digit assists. He also set an NBA playoff record of 12 threes. He made 17 of 24 shots, 12 of 17 three shots and 9 of 10 free throws. Lillard also managed a robbery, three blocks and a turnover in 51 minutes.

In short, it was one of the most electrifying playoff performances in NBA history, and league players took to social media to share their astonishment.
