New York Knicks rookie Miles McBride finished Friday with a near triple-double on assignment with the Westchester Knicks in the NBA G League.
McBride produced 23 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and one steal to lead the Knicks to a 121-117 victory over the College Park Skyhawks. He went 8 of 15 on the field, including 3 of 7 on 3 points, in 39 minutes of work.
McBride’s performance follows a 31-point explosion with Westchester against the Skyhawks on Thursday. He once again showed his ability to create for himself and to penetrate painting while shooting from the midrange and beyond the arc.

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau has previously expressed how important it is for McBride to play for Westchester when possible. Assignments have given him a great opportunity to stay prepared and continue his development as the Knicks believe he has a bright future.
Playing time might not necessarily be there now for McBride, but the 36th pick has the luxury of playing for Westchester to stay sharp and work his game. He’s averaging 26.8 points, 8.5 assists. decisive, six rebounds and 1.8 interceptions with Westchester.
