“I think speaking with him his real goal is to win three championships in Brooklyn and make it his place, his team, his legacy,” she said on Friday.

But Durant fired back at the suggestion.

“Again, I don’t even speak like that… and I don’t have a relationship with Jackie so we have in-depth conversations about my intentions as a basketball player. I understand that she plays a sport based on the. opinion, but she framed it like we’re friends. We’re not, “he tweeted.

Houston Chronicle sports editor Reid Laymance suggested Durant try to befriend MacMullan. The Nets star responded.

“Congratulations my g. Enjoy it.”

Durant has come after members of the media in recent weeks on Twitter. He accused Jay Williams of ESPN of making up a story about comparing Durant to Giannis Antetokounmpo. He called Williams’ story about Durant’s alleged response a “f-kin lie.”
