I’m not happy with the amount of time that I’m not spending coding. There’s a lot of stuff that I intend to get involved with (nearly all Ruby) and I’m simply not spending the time doing that. Part of it has to do with being a dad and I don’t want to spend any less time with the kids than I do now. The other part of it is that I’m not spending the hour or two coding away while I sit in the living room with Kristen while she grades and prepares for teaching . I think this has a lot to do with my decision to move from a laptop to an iMac. Don’t get me wrong, I love the iMac. But it sits off in its own room off of the living room and so it doesn’t afford me the same opportunity to spend time with Kristen even when we’re both involved doing our own thing. Looks like I’m going to need to take a look at buying either an iBook or PowerBook. It’ll also be useful with the holidays coming up and all the time that we’ll be spending at relative’s houses.

Isn’t this cool?
